Bio

zuma link a.k.a. João Gabriel de Queiroz (Porto Alegre, 1991) is an artist of the movement, focused in the medias of audiovisual and performance. Graduated in Film Studies at UNISINOS (2011) and studied at the Experimental Dance Group of Porto Alegre (2015), they were one of the cinematographers participants of the Berlinale Talents 2021. zuma have 3 launched feature-films as cinematographer: Seashore, premiered at 2015 Berlinale’s Forum; Socrates, winner of the Someone to Watch Award in 2019; and 7 Prisoners, premiered at 2021's Venice International Film Festival. As a performer, they have worked in transmedia, contemporary dance and urban intervention projects. Used to be in different realities of budget, they seek creative solutions with a visual impact, either shooting with webcams or large format cameras. Since 2019 they are part of EdiyPorn, a Latin-American platform of queer porn, working as executive producer, director,  performer, cinematographer and editor. EdiyPorn has produced over 60 films, participaded in over 30 film festivals and has had four retrospective exhibitions so far (In Chile, Italy, Germany and Switzerland).
